We were on a sunrise safari drive one morning when we came upon these two male lions snoozing away atop a termite hill about 6 feet high. Luckily, this placed them right at eye level with our cameras. While they didn’t move for a long time, every now and then, they might look up and open their eyes, or reposition their heads in the morning light. These two were most likely brothers, and showed some battle scars and thinned-out manes that our guide explained were from being in a lot of fights. Watching them for over an hour made for a great start to our day!
