We had just arrived for our first safari drive in Sabi Sands Private Reserve near Kruger National Park, South Africa. Kel, our driver, and Roy, our spotter on the front of the vehicle, wasted no time getting us deep into the bush, now very dry from the lack of rain over the winter season. Immediately, we came upon this leopard and her young, both featured in several images. We were amazed at how they were undistracted by us and the vehicle, quite willing to walk right alongside without even a glance up at us, which of course made for some great viewing and photo-ops. What a terrific welcome to the African bush!
